Type of Love is an augmented reality filter that arose as an expression of my intrigue, love and passion for typography. The AR filter was released on Valentine's Day of 2024 and is a result of my experimentation with typography in augmented spaces and ended up becoming an ode to heartbeat-like movements and kiss cams. On that very day, the filter was documented in several sightseeing venues around Geneva, drawing the attention of tourists, locals and couples.
This typographic emblem opens up a discussion that goes beyond geolocation and signage design in virtual spaces and rather questions how a user or a space may possibly intertwine with virtual assets as a means of love expression, above all in an era were heart-shaped emojis and text messages have become the new norm.
This filter was the last creation of mine using Meta Spark AR Studio, which was discontinued as of January 2025.
